DoD investments have transformed virtually every facet of the human race in the past half century – an impressive list of legacy breakthroughs and innovations, including the Internet; global positioning systems and satellites; communication hardware and software including cellular telephones; powerful artificial intelligence algorithms; drones that we use to photograph and capture holiday memories; and unique sensors that detect the presence of biomarkers to help intervention cardiologists properly place micropumps inside the heart.
